Carla Bruni Boasts of '30 Lovers'

France's First Lady, former model and sometime singer Carla Bruni, has confessed on her latest album to bedding 30 lovers. According to the First Post, Bruni allegedly enjoyed a number of high-profile affairs before wedding President Nicolas Sarkozy in February. Her conquests reportedly include Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, Kevin Costner and Donald Trump, to name but four, and media speculation as to the identity of the remaining 26 is sure to be intense. Bruni insists that most of the songs on her new album, Comme Si De Rien N’Etait (“As If Nothing Was”), were written before her marriage, but the first single to be released, L’Amoureuse (“Woman In Love”), is thought to be about her newfound state of matrimonial bliss. French newspaper Le Figaro describes the album without a shred of bias as “the most eagerly awaited disc for decades” but Bruni herself is more pragmatic: “Criticism, which is useful, risks being blurred, for good or for bad, by the fact that I am the President’s wife.”
