Admiral Vernon’s Lime Grog |
|
Ingredients
• 16 ounces lime juice
• 1 pound brown sugar
• 1 pint dark rum
• 1/2 gallon water
• 6 springs mint
Preparation
In a large bowl or jar, mix the fresh-squeezed lime juice and the brown sugar. Dilute with the water and rum. Drop in the mint. Refrigerate and serve on the rocks! |

Beachcomber |
|
Ingredients
• 1.5 ounces Vodka
• .25 ounce Coconut Rum
• .5 ounce pineapple juice
• 1 splash orange juice
• 2 slices orange
Preparation
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with orange slices and serve. |

Brandy Julep |
|
Ingredients
• 2 teaspoons superfine sugar
• 1 ounce water
• 5 to 6 sprigs mint
• 3 ounces cognac
• 1/2 tablespoon dark rum
Preparation
In a chilled silver julep cup or highball glass, dissolve the sugar in the cold water. Add 3 mint sprigs and gently crush them against the sides of the glass. Remove them, fill the glass with shaved or finely crushed ice, and pour in the cognac. Add more ice and stir vigorously, trying not to touch the outside of the glass with your hands, until the glass frosts. Float the rum on top, put 2 or 3 sprigs of fresh mint, and serve. |

Brown Derby |
|
Ingredients
• 2 ounces dark rum
• 1 ounce lime juice
• 1 teaspoon maple sugar
Preparation
Shake the rum well along with fresh-squeezed lime juice, maple sugar and cracked ice, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. |

Café Grog |
|
Ingredients
• 1 ounce dark rum
• 1/2 ounce brandy
• 2 lumps sugar
• 1 slice lemon(s)
• 4 ounces coffee
Preparation
In a small saucepan, mix all the ingredients together, and then heat until simmering and serve immediately. |

Chicago Fizz |
|
Ingredients
• 1 ounce dark rum
• 1 ounce ruby port
• 1/2 ounce lemon juice
• 1/2 teaspoon superfine sugar
• 1 egg whites
Preparation
Shake all the ingredients with cracked ice in a chilled cocktail shaker, then strain into a chilled small Collins glass and fizz with seltzer water to an inch or so from the top. |

Cliquet |
|
Ingredients
• 1 1/2 ounces rye whisky
• 1 small orange juice
• 1 teaspoon dark rum
Preparation
Pour the rye, the juice, and the rum in a large Old-Fashioned glass. Add 2-3 ice cubes and mix.

Cranberry Kiss |

Ingredients
• .75 ounce Spiced Rum
• 2 ounces collins mix
• 2 ounces cranberry juice
• 1 wedge lemon
Preparation
Add all the ingredients in an ice-filled glass and stir. Garnish with lemon and serve chilled. |

Dark and Stormy |
|
Ingredients
• 2 ounces dark rum
• 3 ounces ginger beer
• 1/2 ounce lime juice
Preparation
Combine rum, ginger beer, and lime juice in a tall glass full of ice cubes. Stir well and serve chilled! |

Eye-Opener |
|
Ingredients
• 1 1/2 ounces dark rum
• 1/2 teaspoon orange curacao
• 1/2 teaspoon apricot liqueur
• 1 teaspoon grenadine
• 1 egg yolks
Preparation
Shake the rum, orange curaçao, apricot liqueur, grenadine, and egg yolk strenuously with cracked ice, then strain into a chilled Old-Fashioned glass. |
